LiteraryTrip is built to help readers explore the relationship between books and places. This page explains the editorial process behind route suggestions and the limits readers should keep in mind.
Selecting books and places
We look for a meaningful connection between a book, an author, a scene, and a real destination. A place belongs in a route when its relevance can be explained, not simply because it is popular or photogenic.
Evidence and interpretation
We distinguish direct references and documented biographical or local history from interpretation. When a connection is suggestive rather than explicit, it should be presented as context or an invitation to read, not as a fact from the text.
Checking addresses and opening hours
Addresses, access, and opening hours are checked against official or local sources when a route depends on them. Public streets and squares can remain useful alternatives, but conditions can change after publication.
Availability and limitations
A book, venue, route, or service may be unavailable in a country, season, language, or accessibility context. LiteraryTrip does not guarantee entry, availability, accessibility, or that every suggested place will remain unchanged.
